DIKES
DIKE REINFORCEMENT HWBP
(FLOOD PROTECTION PROGRAM)
Dike reinforcement involves the requirements for the future height of the dike, up to 50 and 100 years ahead of time. These requirements are essential for the water safety of the Netherlands. With its satellite data, Sensar provides insight into how much the dike has subsided in the past, which can then be used to predict the future height of the dike. This allows a much more accurate determination of the height at which the dike must be raised in order to be safe in the present and future, as well as what materials must be used on which dike section. Because we provide this insight in high detail, costs, CO2, and nuisance for local residents are saved. In addition, we can also monitor surrounding properties (environmental monitoring).
REVIEW OF REGIONAL FLOOD DEFENSES
Regional flood defenses must also be, and remain in, good condition. These defenses are regularly tested by comparing the expected strength of the defense with the requirements for the dike in question. Settlement of the dike and the associated changes in elevation are important parameters. With Sensar, we can accurately map these.
DAMS
The integrity of dams is essential for the (water) safety of the region. With satellite data, you can monitor dams very accurately and frequently for (unexpected) movements, and be able to intervene in time.
THE BENEFITS OF DIKE MANAGEMENT WITH SENSAR
Smarter and more efficient use of materials and CO2 emissions
Less inconvenience to local residents
Increased (water) safety
