SEWER

SEWER RUNOFF PREVENTION

Most sewers are ‘free-fall’ sewers and drain by gravity. If the ground sinks unevenly (the highest part becomes the lowest part), at some point the sewer flows the wrong way which is highly undesirable. With satellite data, you can estimate the future elevation of the sewer to determine when it will flow in the wrong direction. You can measure both sewer lines and sewer manholes with Sensar’s products.

MEASURING LOST SALVAGE

By linking our satellite data to the sewer line elevation and/or PDO (Inside Bottom Pipe) measurements, you can find out where the subsidence is and what approximate percentage of lost salvage is in the overall system.

HOUSE CONNECTIONS MONITORING

Houses are usually founded and therefore do not sink. The sewer pipe exits the house and is there below ground level or the road, which often does sink. This can cause buckling and a pipe burst, something you would rather avoid.

DISCOVER IRREGULAR SETTLEMENT

A difference in soil composition under the sewer pipe causes differences in settlement along the pipe which causes buckling points and possible damage to the pipe. Sensar’s data allows you to start doing predictive sewer maintenance, saving costs and reducing inconvenience to residents.

What does sewer management with Sensar deliver?

You only need to maintain where necessary, and can defer where possible (prioritization).

You can target local inspections and measurements more effectively.

It provides better safety/livability/accessibility in public spaces.
