SUITABLE FOR ASSET MANAGEMENT

Sensar’s soil measurements reveal, amongst other things, the differential settlements at hard/soft crossings due to differences in soil composition along the route. This helps with predictive maintenance of the track and ensures that you are promoted from situation-based maintenance to risk-based maintenance. This increases the safety and accessibility of the track, while simultaneously reducing costs. For railroad bridges, we have the BridgeScan product.

HARD/SOFT CROSSINGS

Artificial structures (bridges, pipe lines, etc.) are usually founded while the track is not. As a result, the track and the structure do not sink. This differential settlement creates a bump in the track. Too many bumps reduce passenger comfort and causes trains to slow down. As a manager with Sensar’s measurements, you can prioritize with dangerous hard/soft crossings no longer escaping your attention.

RAILROAD TRACK

Differences in the soil structure under the track causes differences in subsidence which creates buckling points and bumps. Satellite data can be used to map very accurately how much differential settlement there is and where it occurs. In this way, targeted measures can be taken. This becomes all the more important now that more and heavier trains will be running over the Dutch rail network in the coming years.

MONITORING THE CONTRACTOR

Track work is often outsourced via (long-term) maintenance contracts. Satellite data can be used to measure remotely, allowing independent verification that the work has been done properly.

THE BENEFITS OF RAIL MANAGEMENT WITH SENSAR

You have predictive track maintenance. And therefore higher safety
and accessibility at a lower cost.

You can target local inspections and measurements more effectively.
