DIKESCAN
SMART DESIGN FOR DIKE REINFORCEMENT WITH DIKESCAN
The Sensar DikeScan helps water boards in the design of dike reinforcements and provides monitoring of properties during the work. We look back in time with millimeter accuracy to see how much the dike has subsided and make a prediction of the future height of the dike by linking to public sources such as the AHN (Actueel Hoogtebestand Nederland) and the BGT (Basisregistratie Grootschalige Topografie). And that on dike segments of 10 meters. This way you get accurate input for the design, find out to what height the dike should be raised and what materials should be used.

INCLUDED IN THE DIKESCAN
- The application ‘dikes’.
- The application ‘buildings’.
- Ground level information for a view of the dike's surroundings.
- The application ‘roads’ (optional).
- Alarms on trend changes and exceeding preset limit values.
- Prediction of future altitude.
- The settlement archive.
- A measurement of the longitudinal profile.
TYPICAL ISSUES
- The future height of the dike.
- The stability of properties (environmental monitoring).
EXAMPLE
Sensar DikeScan is being used by several water boards. A good example is the Hoogheemraadschap de Stichtse Rijnlanden, which used DikeScan in the design of the Lekdijk. This resulted in lower costs and less chance of damage for local residents. More than €1,000,000 was saved with DikeScan. Moreover, CO2 emissions have been greatly reduced.
